Answer: it is not something the Naval forces deals with, it is part of your VA benefits. I do believe it is three years of service before you can make the grade.. but truly, a zero down VA loan is NOT a good deal.

I'm getting an FHA loan which includes a 3.5% down payment.

Do I still have to pay mortgage indemnification or will that be covered by FHA?

Answer: Hi: Unfortunately, you still have to pay MIP until the head balance of the home is 80% of the home's value. It's disheartening, but the only way to evade MIP is to come up with 20% down.
