Ohio Attorney Extensive Richard Cordray today filed a lawsuit against American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc. (AHMSI), a Texas-based fellowship servicing more than 12,000 subprime and prime mortgage loans in Ohio. The lawsuit alleges numerous violations of the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act including but not restricted to: unqualified and disappointing client aid, downfall to moved to requests for support, deterioration to provide opportune or affordable passing mitigation options to borrowers and unfair and tricky allowance modification terms.

“For far too hunger there has been meagre to no answerability for those who take advantageously of the dire circumstances of home foreclosure,” said Cordray. “The acts of some mortgage servicers have gone beyond the purpose of being negligent—they have become looting economic practices and in Ohio, they won’t be tolerated.”
